Please be sure to pick up your end-of-year tax statements after Mass. This is a good time to thank all of you for your generous, ongoing support of our parish life, which includes the regular Sunday collections for the expenses of the entire parish and the continuing donations to build-up our construction fund (through the blue envelopes, One Foot at a Time and the Let’s Build It campaign).
As far as the construction project, things are on track. Father Fred, Deacon Mike, Anthony Quicho and the finance team are regularly working with the project manager. The city has responded promptly to our application with a list of “to do” items that are being worked on. And the bank has provided us with the formal loan approval documents. It’s a go! We have been receiving a lot of ad hoc donations in addition to the parishioner donations. See Deacon Mike for more information about One Foot at a Time and see Fr. Fred for updates on the Let’s Build It campaign.
Have you noticed how sparkling our sanctuary is? Thanks to our volunteer cleaning crew, the church facilities are being well maintained. And thanks to Deacon Mike and his crew, the chairs were moved out, the floors mopped and waxed, and the chairs moved back in recently. Plus due to the efforts of our environment committee, the church continues to look great with flowers, banners, religious symbols and seasonal decorations. Watch for the
upcoming Lenten season. We thank all of our volunteers for these efforts.
Everyone at Holy Family (clergy, staff,
volunteers, teachers, faithful parishioners, etc.) are getting more and more excited about an actual ground breaking on our property this coming spring. It’s going to happen! Our bank has agreed to financing phase 1 with the understanding that the parish is pushing to accumulate $1M in our construction fund. What sounded impossible just a few years ago is now a reality.
With a combination of generous donations through One Foot at a Time, the monthly Construction Fund blue envelopes and the new Let’s Build It campaign, that number is rising quickly toward that $1M goal. Thank you all for making this happen and thanks for your continuing support of this effort as we start 2017. See Deacon Mike for more information about One Foot at a Time and see Fr. Fred for updates on the Let’s Build It campaign.
